Summary PML-N, MQM and JUI senators walked out on Oppositions agenda being neglected.

JUI and JI senators registered a strong protest on a reported meeting of gays in US embassy in Islamabad.Opposition Leader Maulana Ghafoor Haideri said the government must explain why the Opposition’s agenda was set aside. MQM’s Tahir Mashidi said the session was requisitioned by the Opposition, but the Treasury benches pressed ahead their own agenda. The MQM senators also protested against delay in allocation of opposition benches to the party.Senate Deputy Chairman Jan Muhammad Jamali said if there was no objection being raised to offering of prayers in the Pakistani embassy in Washington, why was the Opposition objecting to a gay meeting in US embassy in Islamabad. The remarks invited the anger of JI and JUI members.JUI’s Senator Azam Hoti said a man from Gujrat had placed his picture on a passport to use it for import of cars. He demanded investigations into the matter by the FIA.Maulana Ghafoor Haideri said the government has failed to maintain law and order in Karachi. He demanded that all political and religious parties be taken into confidence on the Karachi situation. He said the nation was fulfilling its responsibility, the law enforcement agencies should also live up to expectations.
