Pakistan reports 27 deaths from COVID-19, lowest since April

Summary Pakistan has so far conducted 14,072,605 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 27 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 947,218. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,940 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 991 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 10,615 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,314 in Sindh, 4,257 in KP, 775 in Islamabad, 571 in Azad Kashmir, 300 in Balochistan, and 108 in GB.

Furthermore 344,799 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 331,094 in Sindh, 136,819 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 82,313 in Islamabad, 26,529 in Balochistan, 19,893 in Azad Kashmir and 5,771 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 14,072,605 coronavirus tests and 46,269 in the last 24 hours. 889,787 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,296 patients are in critical condition.
