Summary Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan praised Sohail Ahmad for highlighting social issues in Azizis character.
She was addressing to a ceremony which was held at Alhamra Hall by Punjabi Union in honour of veteran artist Sohail Ahmad who is anchor person of Dunya News programme Hasb-e Hal.The ceremony was arranged by the Punjabi Union to celebrate Sohail Ahmad’s achievement of Pride of Performance award.Addressing the function, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that nomination of “Pride of Performance” for Sohail Ahmed is recognition of his services in the field of art.She said that artists have disseminated message of hope and optimism through the medium of television and made a special mention of popular Dunya News programme ‘Hasb-e-Hal’ featuring Sohail Ahmed as ‘Azizi’.Speaking on this occasion, Sohail Ahmad said he received many awards but some important awards were taken back from him by God Almighty this year that include, Mastana, Babu Baral, Moeen Akhtar, Liaquat Soldier, Khayam Sarhadi and Jamil Fakhri.
