Summary Gov't decided to remove PCO judges of LHC and SHC to whom ex CJP Abdul Hamid Dorgar had taken oath.
The SC Karachi bench would be informed about the decision in written.The Ministry for Law had submitted an application before the PM Gilani’s Principal Secretary on Tuesday, seeking consent to the decision for removing the PCO judges.The Federal Secretary for Law Masud Chishti has left for Karachi yesterday to submit the report before the Supreme Court and today. He would inform the court about the decision of the government.The decision of removal the PCO judges was taken in a high-level meeting attended by ex-minister for law Dr Babar Awan, Attorney General Justice Maulvi Anwarul Haq and the Secretary for Law Masud Chisti.The session also reflected over the situation emerged after the reference issued by the President Zardari to the Supreme Judicial Council against the PCO judges and the stance of the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry as well.Dr Babar said that the Chief Justice of Pakistan as the chairman of the SJC has informed the government about his decision.
