AJK elections: Polling begins in LA-17, Poonch-I

Polling has been started in LA-17, Poonch-I constituency of Azad Kashmir. The election in this constituency was declared null and void by Azad Kashmir Election Commission on June 26 after the incidents of ballot papers’ snatching by activists of different political parties.Election Commission has set up 157 polling stations for the 76,288 voters in LA-17, Poonch-Sudhnoti-I constituency.A tough competition is expected between Pakistan Muslin League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Yaseen Gulshan, Muslim Conference’s Qayyum Niazi and Pakistan People’s Party’s candidate Amjad Yousaf.
