Court sends Anjum on 3-day physical remand

Earlier, police produced Anjum before the Anti-Terrorism Court and requested for 7-day physical remand. The court rejected the police request and ordered to send him jail.Police had registered a case against PML-N MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan under 12 different sections including Terrorism Act and arrested him on Saturday.Earlier, Anjum was admitted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, following complains of heart problem. Dr Muhammad Shafiq and Dr Awais Nizami did his check up and decided to do his angiography and other tests.According to sources, Khan’s one cardiac valve is blocked and doctors recommended him staying in the hospital. But the police moved Anjum back without doctors’ consultation.
