LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly demanding removal of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan from her post.
The resolution was submitted by PML-N leader Hina Butt. The resolution stated that this House strongly condemns humiliation of the female Assistant Commissioner by Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan.
The resolution termed Dr Firdous’s attitude towards the female officer as very regrettable and said that this attitude has also caused a wave of concern in the bureaucracy.
The PML-N said that the Chief Secretary Punjab had also expressed serious concerns over the attitude of the SAPM Dr Firdous, therefore Punjab Chief Minister should remove Dr Firdous from office immediately.
