Summary Loadshedding could not be decreased despite rains in most parts of the country.
According to PEPCO, power shortfall has reached 5166 megawatts.The electricity demand is 18102mw and production is 12936mw. Loadshedding duration in urban areas is 9 hours and 12 to 15 hours loadshedding continues in the rural areas.Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has announced 8 to 10-hour loadshedding schedule for Karachi but the citizens are facing difficulties due to unannounced loadshedding and voltage fluctuation.Heat grips plain areas including Sukkur while 8 to 12 hours loadshedding continues in urban areas and 14 to 16 hours announced as well as unannounced loadshedding duration is hitting the rural areas.
