Summary A judicial probe has been started of PML-Ns MNA Anjum Aqeel Khans escape from police custody.
In the first phase of the judicial inquiry, the inquiry committee recorded the statements of SP Nadeem Hussain, SHO Fayaz Tanoli, SDPO Ahmad Iqbal and the policemen present at the site.Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Amir Ali Ahmad said that the crime scene was inspected and the inquiry report would be submitted to the Interior Ministry by today.Police have also conducted raids in various areas of Islamabad to arrest the police station assailants.Police nominated 14 people, including Naeem Azam, brother of Anjum Aqeel, while seven people had also been arrested.Meanwhile, a case under the section 223/224 has been registered against Shalimar Police Station SHO and 13 other policemen for committing negligence.According to sources, efforts were being made to make a patch up with the complainant of the case registered against Anjum Akeel.
