Protests against load shedding in Peshawar, Multan, Mirpur

Irritated protestors in Peshawar and Multan set tyres on fire and blocked the roads.As per detail, prolonged and unscheduled load shedding created shortage of drinking water in many areas of Peshawar.The affected peoples lost temperament and gathered at HashatNagri after offeringJuma prayer and blocked the road by setting tyres on fire. The protestors also raised slogans against the government and the WAPDA.They were of the view that their businesses had become stagnant, making thousands of the people unemployed.Police used force to disperse protestors by throwing shells of tear gas but the irritated mob retaliated in the same manner and threw stones on the security forces. Later, they deliberately dispersed.The protestors also held demonstrations against load shedding inVehari and Kanewal. They also tortured the passengers seeking rout for journey.Likewise, the Citizens Alliance took out rally against load shedding in Mirpur. They raised anti-government slogans carrying placards inscribed with statements against load shedding.Protestors also announced to launch civil-disobedience movement and hold shutterdown strike once a week in the city.
