Pak Navy begins production of fast-attack missile boats

Summary Pakistan Navy has started constructing fast-attack missile boats at Karachi Shipyard.

The boats are being constructed with Chinese cooperation. The keel laying ceremony was attended among others by Defence Production Secretary Lt-Gen Shahid Iqbal, Chinese and senior Pak Navy officials.The boats would be equipped with missiles, automatic guns and latest weapon systems. Defence Production Secretary Lt-Gen Shahid Iqbal said the boats would add to the defence capability of the Pakistan Navy.
