Summary US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta admits that Pak-US ties are going through a sensitive phase.
In a TV interview in Washington, Panetta said that the US wanted to continue a cordial relationship with Pakistan because the country had a great significance in the region. He said that Pakistan was fighting a war against Al Qaeda.Panetta said that the US was gaining ground in Afghanistan and the forces were getting an upper hand against Al Qaeda.
