Summary 5th death anniversary of renowned Urdu poet and novelist Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi is being observed today.
Qasmi, real name Ahmed Shah, was born on November 20, 1916 in Khushab. He started off his career as a clerk but soon he joined the progressive writers’ guild to be actively engaged in literary activities. Qasmi authored 7 books of poetry and over a dozen novels.He was also the recipient of the Presidential Pride of Performance Award, Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Nishan-e-Imtiaz.
