Summary The government has decided to revive commissioner system in Karachi, however, MQM opposes the move.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Presidency under President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.The meeting directed Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to immediately revive commissioner system to restore law and order situation in the province.Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Raza Haroon has said that his party would oppose the government move.
