Summary The US media alleges North Korea has bribed Pakistan military high ups for nuclear secrets.

The US media has started a campaign to malign Pakistan security agencies. A report published in ‘The Washington Post’ has alleged that high officials of Pakistan army were bribed for transfer of nuclear technology to North Korea.Earlier, a report published on July 4 in US media alleged that Pakistan security agencies were involved in killing of journalist Saleem Shahzad.Though Pakistan has categorically denied the allegation but the media published a purported letter written by a North Korean scientist to Dr Qadir Khan to cement their claims. One possible reason of this campaign against the Pakistani institutions may be part of proposed US law which clearly states that the name of CIA could use reporters on the name of national security for their purposes.
