Power of democracy comes from parliament not from military: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar said that the power of democracy comes from the moral power of parliament and elected representatives, not from any military power.

According to details, in his statement on twitter Asad Umar said that a system of senate elections which show people that conscience of elected representatives is being auctioned will weaken the democracy.

He said that transparent Senate elections will strengthen democracy.
