PML-N, MQM agree to be active opposition

PML-N’s Ishaq Dar and MQM’s Haider Rizvi addressed the media following their meeting and announced that both parties have decided in principle to work together “for the welfare of the people”.Enumerating different issues ranging from prices and Kashmir to the overall situation in the country, Rizvi said it has been decided to work together to improve the lot of the people and the country.On his turn, Dar virtually turned down the impression of a grand street alliance by saying that everything would be done within the constitution and norms of democracy. He said both parties have decided to work actively as opposition parties.Both leaders however refrained from addressing directly whether their parties would seek to replace the government.
