Summary Election Commission has declared dual nationality holders ineligible to contest next polls.
The ECP has recommended introduction of a bill in the parliament in this regard.The ECP meeting was headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Hamid Ali Mirza. It decided that people with dual nationality should be legally barred from taking part in elections to be members of parliament.The ECO allocated “Takhti” (wooden slate) as election symbol to JUI and “mountain” to Caravan-e-Millat.The ECP also recommended review of the law regarding party elections.
