Summary US senator John McCain has accused ISI of links with the Haqqani network.
Addressing a news conference during his Afghan visit, McCain said he worried that Obamas withdrawal plan could deplete American military strength before dealing a decisive blow to the Taliban, especially in eastern Afghanistan.I believe that the planned drawdown is an unnecessary risk, McCain said.Separately, talking to an American TV, Senator Lindsay Graham also accused Pakistan of links with the Haqqanis. He said the Pakistan Army would have to choose between friends and foes. The US is Pakistan’s friend, he said.Many US officials’ similar accusations in the past have earned denials from the Pakistan Army.
