LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has on Monday said that former rulers deceived the people of South Punjab in the name of development but Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government gave the region a new identity.

The chief minister said in his statement that the establishment of secretariats in Multan and Bahawalpur is gift for the people of South Punjab by PTI. The former governments spent the funds of South Punjab on other cities and projects, he said.

Usman Buzdar vowed that the funds allocated for South Punjab will not be transferred to other cities or projects from now onwards. The area is undergoing real journey of progress for the first time, the Punjab CM stressed.
