Summary President Zardari is considering giving powers to security forces to interrogate the terrorists.

According to exclusive news of the Dunya TV, president is weighing a draft of an ordinance to give special powers to security forces to investigate the held terrorists for four months.If the law goes through, a special authority will be established. During an operation the security forces could search any house and suspected terrorists or their supporters could be taken and held for four months.They could be sentenced to death according to Anti-terrorism Act 1997.by the courts. The proofs sent by the new authority to the courts will be considered valid. The army officer could testify in the court and their statement will be accepted in the court of law.This law will be applicable from February 1, 2008. The officer concerned, civilian or military could not be tried in the court of law.
