Summary Four FIA officers investigating NICL scam have been transferred to remote areas.
These officers had been working with investigation officer Zafar Qureshi who was removed from the case by the government, but the SC recently ordered his shifting back to the case. The government had removed Zafar to the National Police Foundation.Though the government has put Zafar back on job, four of his associates have not been transferred. FIA Deputy Director Javed Shah has been sent from Lahore to Dera Ismail Khan, Assistant Director Khalid Anis to Peshawar, Assistant Director Muhammad Ahmed to Turbat and Inspector Muhammad Sarwar to Gwadar. These are the officers who had raided Moonis Elahi’s office and arrested his manager.On the other hand, notification to transfer NICL investigation officer (IO) Zafar Qureshi has been abolished on the SC call.
