SURAB (Dunya News) – Customs officials foiled an attempt to smuggle Iranian oil under the guise of asphalt during two separate operations in Surab district of Balochistan province, Dunya News reported on Monday.
According to details, Chief Collector Customs Gul Rehman during his visit to Surab directed the customs officials to take special and immediate action against the illegal oil tankers.
Taking action on Chief Collector Customs directives, customs officials under the command of in charge customs check post in Surab, Ahmed Nawaz Zehri took into their possession a truck loaded with 40000 litres of Iranian oil and 20 tons of asphalt.
During another operation, customs officials into its custody oil tanker laden with 35000 litres of Iranian oil. Sources said that the seized Iranian oil is worth Rs 30 million.
