Summary Dunya News has received report of standing committee regarding illegal appointments in PU.
It has been claimed in the report that merit and selection policy were extremely violated in appointments from 2006 to 2009 in the University of the Punjab.It has been clearly mentioned in the inquiry committee report that hundreds of illegal appointments and promotions were made during three years.During this process, no approval was sought from the university syndicate while sometimes the vacancies were not advertised in the newspaper.In some cases, minimum ability was not evaluated while the age limit was ignored in the other cases.Degrees of some candidates were not verified. Even the SC order regarding ban on ad hoc postings was put aside.
