Pervez Khattak apologizes for criticizing Jahangir Tareen

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Defense Minister has apologized for his statement criticizing PTI leader Jahangir Tareen, saying that the it was a slip of tongue. He said that he actually wanted to say that Imran Khan does not spare anyone, including me, on corruption.

He expressed these views while briefing the media after a review meeting on the inauguration of Rashakai Economic Zone on November 21. He was present at the residence of Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Committee and Member National Assembly Arbab Sher Ali Khan on Monday.

The Defense Minister said that the PDM has been given the permission to hold a rally in Peshawar, they will face no obstacles from the government.

Pervez Khattak said that the sole purpose of opposition’s rallies is to rid themselves of corruption cases, they would never hold these rallies if their cases were settled.

Pervez Khattak said that what Ali Amin Gandapur said about Maryam Nawaz was a reaction to opposition members hurling personal attacks at the prime minister. When opposition members act like this, ministers like Ali Amin will certainly respond, he added.
