Blast in Mardan kills four, injures 16

MARDAN (Dunya News) – At least four persons were killed and 16 other were injured in a blast in Judge Bazaar area of Mardan on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, the explosive material planted on a cycle which exploded when people were busy in shopping in Judge Bazaar, killing a man and his seven-year-old daughter on the spot while two other persons succumbed to their wounds after reaching hospital.

At least 16 other persons, including a police official, were wounded in the blast. The injured persons were immediately rushed to hospital. Hospital sources said that three of the injured are in critical condition.

Sources further informed that a police van was also damaged in the blast. Sources also feared that the main target of miscreants was the police van.
