LAHORE (Dunya News) - Matriculation results of all nine boards of intermediate and secondary education (BISE) in Punjab will finally be announced today after Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took notice of Dunya News report about delay in announcement of results.
Provincial Minister for Higher Education and Information Technology Raja Yassir Humanyun Sarfraz said that the results will be announced at 5pm by all the boards of Punjab, adding that the result is being announced after completing all legal requirements.
Students were in distress as results of the matriculation were delayed due to coronavirus pandemic. The BISEs were expected to reveal results on Friday but it, according to officials, was not announced due to not receiving minutes of Punjab cabinet meeting.
According to sources, the result announcement was made conditional on the release of the Punjab Cabinet meeting minutes. For the announcement of the results, the minutes of the Cabinet meeting had to be released even though the results were already compiled in the first week of September.
