LAHORE (Dunya News) – Marriage halls in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have reopened from today (Tuesday) as the number of coronavirus cases has declined considerably across the country, Dunya News reported.

Punjab government has issued a notification to announce reopening of marriage halls in the province from today.

The management of marriage halls has been directed to strictly observe coronavirus precautionary measures such as wearing face masks and social distancing during ceremonies to keep the coronavirus at bay.

As per the notification, the marriage halls have been allowed to host guests only 50 percent of their capacity and follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the safety of the guests.

The management of marriage halls has also been directed to provide sanitizers to the guests at the entry point.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government through a notification issued on Monday also announced to reopen marriage halls from today across the province.

According to notification the staff of the marriage halls will be tested for coronavirus before the reopening of marriage halls.

The management of marriage halls has also been directed to use thermal guns to check the temperature of the guests attending the marriage ceremonies.

The management of marriage halls has been directed to strictly observe coronavirus precautionary measures such as wearing face masks and social distancing. The KP government has has also issued directives that no ceremony would be allowed at marriage halls after 10:00pm.
