Summary SC has ordered registering a case against all accused involved in the Police Foundation case.
The accused involved in the scam includes PML-N MNA Aqeel Anjum.Two-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted hearing of the Police Foundation case.The Chief Justice expressed annoyance for not registering a case against the accused. He remarked that the case should be registered even if any influential person was involved in the scam.The Chief Justice ordered investigation officer Zafar Qureshi to take action against the culprits and recover the public money.PML-N MNA Aqeel Anjum requested the court to hear his point of view as his future could be affected.The CJ said: “You have embezzled Rs 6 billion and have also confessed the crime. What do you want to say now?”The court adjourned the hearing till next month.
