The Indian Prime Minister Manmonhan Singh has advised the Indian Home Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram to review application by the Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju’s request for pardoning Pakistani prisoner Professor Kahlil Chisti on humanitarian grounds. The Indian government speeded up the matter after the news broke on the media.
