Summary Indian media running baseless news about 18 Aug SROs: FO
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Foreign Office has rejected baseless reports by the Indian media regarding two SROs that had been issued by FO on August 18. These SROs were related to the status of UN sanctions list on ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Taliban.
According to the Foreign Office spokesman, the lists include names of banned organizations and individuals as a result of UN Security Council resolutions, and the issuance of these SROs is a routine matter.
Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said that the news circulating in Indian media about new sanctions imposed through these SROs is factually incorrect and baseless.
