LAHORE (Roznama Dunya) – Government of Punjab has decided to impose a ban on pillion riding on Muharram 9 and 10 to ensure law and order in the province.

According to sources, an important meeting, chaired by Additional Chief Secretary Home, was held at civil secretariat to review issues relating to law and order during Muharram.

In light of recommendation of stakeholders, Home Department has decided to impose a ban on pillion riding across the province during Muharram 9 and 10.

A notification in this regard will be issued after approval from the Cabinet Committee on Law and order.
