Summary Lahore Police Sub Inspector admitted that Lahore police encounter was not genuine.
Dunya News got copies of cop’s statement admitting that encounter was fake. Riaz submitted his statement to SSP investigation Abdul Razaq Cheema, stating that Muhafaz Police arrested Shahbaz Butt and handed him over to Nishtar Colony police. DSP sent a message through his gunman to keep Shahbaz outside the police station. He alleged that SHO and in-charge investigation asked him to send a false report of robbery but he refused to comply. After a false police message about a bike snatching incident which never took place, the victim was asked to runaway. As he took a few strides, he was shot by cops from a close range. Police Sub Inspector Akbar Ali again shot the injured victim. Having ascertained the victim’s death, SHO and investigation officer embraced each other.
