Maulana Fazlur Rehman contacts Bilawal Zardari, Chaudhry Shujaat

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Maulana Fazlur Rehman has once again come to the fore to strengthen the anti-government alliance. To that end, he has started holding meetings and making telephone contacts with important political leaders of the country.

According to sources the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader met Bilawal Zardari for an hour and a half and also telephoned government ally Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

Moreover, he has also met leaders of MQM and PML-N. During these meetings, consultations have been held on strengthening the anti-government coalition and convening an all-parties conference.

According to Dunya News sources, during their phone conversation, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain invited Maulana Fazlur Rehman to visit his Gujarat home, meaning an important meeting is expected soon between the two leaders.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman in his meeting with Bilawal Zardari in Karachi discussed their combined political strategy. An all-parties conference will be convened soon once consultations with opposition parties and key government allies are completed.
