Summary Reports of Kharotabad and Karachi incidents were presented before NA Standing Committee.
A meeting of National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Human Rights held under the chair of Riaz Fatyana in Islamabad.Sindh Police presented before the committee the report of Sarfraz Shah’s killing by Rangers personnel in Karachi.According to the report, the Rangers personnel involved in the incident are on remand while their weapons have been seized.The report further says that 4 more Rangers personnel including Babu Rehman, Liaqat Ali, Muhammad Tariq and Muhammad Ali were arrested on June 12.Farah Naz Asfahani presented the report regarding killing of foreigners by the security forces.IG Balochistan FC admitted that the incident occurred in hurry and due to fear.The members of the committee said that the departmental chief would be responsible if incidents like Karachi or Kharotabad occurred in future.
