Summary Federal Board of Revenue issues notification of the exemption.
It was decided after dialogue between FBR officials and All Pakistan Bread Maker Association in Islamabad. In this way, the notice pertaining to GST has become null and void after the new order. It is worth mentioning that earlier FBR regional tax offices had issued notices to seal the factories and were asked to pay tax by June 12. After airing of the news by Dunya TV, the decision was revoked and industry was exempted from the tax.
