Summary The public accounts committee was told that the PIA hotels in New York and Paris will not be sold.
In a statement before the public accounts committee on Monday, Pakistan International Airlines Managing Director said that the national carrier would buy 16 new aircraft to boost its operational side.On the occasion, the defence secretary told the committee that the PIA owned two hotels, one each in New York and Paris. He ruled out the privatisation of the hotels.He said that the total debt on the PIA was Rs 140 billion.
