Summary Budget for the year of 2011-2012 has been presented in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Employee’s salaries have been raised by 15% while there is increase in pension by 20%.Provincial Finance Minister Engineer Hamayon Khan said that due to terrorism, our economy was badly hurt. We received additional funds Rs 63 billion but due to flood, other projects affected. He further told that Rs 85.14 billion have been allocated for development projects while Rs 13 billion for health and education. Further income of Rs 149 billion is likely from taxes.According to budget document, Rs 85.14 billion have been allocated for annual development programme while Rs one billion for Bacha Khan Employment Scheme. It is noteworthy that Rs87 billions for return of debts have not be declared part of the budget.
