At least nine members of a family were shot dead in Mahadev village of Sharqpur near Sheikhupura on Thursday night. The victims included three men, two women and four children.According to reports, Nawaz group had killed two people of Mukhtar group 11 years ago and both the parties had conciliated on the oath on the holy Quran.However, to avenge the murders, 10 members of Mukhtar group attacked Nawaz group in police uniforms and killed nine of them.Three children were also injured in the attack, who have been admitted to a hospital. The ages of the killed children range from two to 12 years.Police said that three suspects were taken into custody and investigations had been started.According to eye-witnesses, the attackers came on motorcycles and shot the people dead when they were asleep.
