Summary FBR, Punjab Police and ASD submitted explanations before the SC regarding Atiqa Odho spirit-recovery
Three-member bench of Supreme Court headed by CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted the hearing of the case. IG said that imported spirit was recovered from Atiqa Odho when she was going from Islamabad to Karachi.ASD and Custom Department settled the issues after bargaining without informing the police, he added. While expressing his stance, DG Air Port Security Force said that the recovered wine was handed over to the Custom officials. Chairman FBR said that the value of recovered spirit was less than Rs 0.3 million, that is why the case was not registered.
