Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Bomb disposal squad Yasir Arafat recorded his statement with the Kharotabad investigation tribunal in Quetta. He said that no suicide jackets were recovered from the foreigners killed at the site. He added that a hand grenade, a pin and two levers were found from the site. Driver Atta Muhammad said in his statement that the seven foreigners were brought to the Samangali check post where five of them had an argument with the police officials when they opened fire on the unarmed foreigners.ASI Raza Khan said that vehicle of the five foreigners was stopped for checking at the Samangali check post. After exchanging bitter words with the officials the foreigners went towards Kharotabad and when they were near the Killi Khazi check post, an explosion occurred and then the firing started. During this time, the Capital City Police Officer Quetta Dawood Junejo and a FC officer arrived at the scene. Station Head Officer Fazal ul Rehman in his statement said that no police officials opened fire in his presence.
