The citizens are facing problems due to 12-hour loadshedding in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa including Peshawar.According to PESCO, currently the shortfall is 240 megawatts while the main reason for the loadshedding is the fault in main power supply line from Tarbela that was blown away.In Balochistan, loadshedding continues up to 16 hours in several areas.According to QESCO sources, 4 to 6-hour loadshedding continues in Quetta including 8 to 12 hours in district headquarter and 12 to 16 hours in the rural areas.A shutter down strike was observed and a protest rally was taken out against prolonged loadshedding in Sibi on the call of Balochistan National Party (Awami).The protest rally and shutter down strike were also held in Dera Murad Jamali. All the business centres remained closed. The protesters staged a sit-in near the Deputy Commissioner Office.The residents of Basti Panwar of Dera Ghazi Khan also protested against the prolonged loadshedding.
