ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The first step towards achieving uniform education system across the country has been completed as government has prepared uniform curriculum for 1st to 5th grade.
According to details, a time frame has been presented to Prime Minister Imran Khan for introducing uniform curriculum in the country. Cambridge, Aga Khan and LUMS assisted in curriculum development.
The uniform syllabus for grades 1 to 5 will be fully implemented by March 2021, for grades 6 to 8 by March 2022 and for grades 9 to 12 by March 2023.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) should be included in the curriculum and ideas of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal should also be made part of the curriculum.
The Prime Minister directed that new curriculum should be made compatible with modern requirements as the purpose of uniform curriculum is to prepare the new generation for the needs and challenges of the modern era.
