LAHORE (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman on the accusation of illegal exemption on 54 plots in Lahore.
Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman had appeared before NAB for the second time. On March 5, Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman had been questioned by NAB for 2 hours.
A spokesperson for NAB has confirmed the arrest saying that he was arrested after failing to provide satisfactory answers to the questions put to him. He will be presented in court on Friday and 14-day physical remand wil be sought, the statement concluded.
The 54 kanal land in question is in Lahore s Johar Town area and was alotted during former Prime Minister(then Chief Minister) Nawaz Sharif’s tenure.
