Summary A budget with expected outlay of about Rs 38.8 trillion will be presented tomorrow.
Except for fodder, chicken feed and life saving drugs, all the medicines will no more be exempted from sales tax.The target for the income to be had from taxes is expected to be Rs 18.85 trillion. Subsidy being given on gas to fertilizer plants will also be withdrawn. Owing to the non-issuance of letter of comfort from IMF, foreign budgetary support will not be forth coming. The government will also be forced to borrow loans from commercial banks worth Rs 856 billion.This will be aimed at reducing the deficit to 4 percent.
