Summary Saudi Arabia's prisons have 3,184 Pakistani prisoners.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A report submitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the National Assembly has revealed that there are 6,738 Pakistanis imprisoned in gulf countries.

According to Foreign Ministry, Saudi Arabia’s prisons have 3,184 Pakistani prisoners, followed by United Arab Emirates (UAE) with 2,765 Pakistani prisoners. There are 476 Pakistani prisoners in Oman, 118 in Bahrain, 99 in Kuwait and 96 in Qatar.

In addition, the details presented during the questions hour of National Assembly session stated that from 2016 to 2019, 41,212 people were provided services regarding human rights abuses.

According to the report, 31,318 human rights cases were sent for legal advice. Report also states that 23,178 complaints were received from Punjab, 9,998 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 4,814 from Sindh, 2,740 from Islamabad, 264 from Balochistan, 200 from Azad Kashmir, 20 from Gilgit-Baltistan and 18 from former FATA.
