Summary Rescue teams failed to recover bodies of Rangers DG and other officers from River Indus.
Search operation has been intensified to find bodies of the director general (DG) of the Punjab Rangers, Major General Muhammad Nawaz, Lieutenant Colonel Aamir Abbas and co-pilot Subedar Hidayat who were on board the helicopter which crashed near Layyah on Wednesday.Pakistan Army had called another team of divers to find out bodies of the missing rangers officials from the river.Body of Captain Asif Nawaz, who also happened to be son of Rangers DG, was recovered yesterday. According to a Pakistan Army spokesman, the wreckage of the helicopter had also been recovered from the river.He said that rescue teams of the Pakistan Army and Rangers had also placed a net near Taunsa Barrage in River Indus to recover the bodies of the missing Ranger officials.
