Summary US paper Wall street Journal states Hillary Clinton got a frosty response in Pakistan.
The paper says Pakistan leadership believes the country has been stretch to the maximum in war on terror. Secondly, this war on militants has sown the seeds of terror in Pakistan.Secretary of State Hillary Clinton beseeched Pakistan to take decisive steps against Islamist militants in the wake of Osama bin Ladens death, at what she called a turning point for the fraying alliances effort to fight terrorism and bring stability to Afghanistan.But her message was greeted coolly in a country that was angered by the bin Laden raid and sees itself as stretched to the limit in fighting extremists that have sown terror within Pakistan. Officials say Hillary’s visit laid bare the divergence between the allies. One of senior Pakistani officials commented on talks saying, “better than not talking”.Even some US officials believe Pakistan is military stretched to the limit and it is unrealistic to expect fresh offensive against militants heavens.
