Summary FO spokesperson says both sides reviewed Pak-US relations with reference to current situation.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Tehmina Janjua on Saturday said that Pakistan raised the question of drone attacks with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.Talking to the media, she said Hillary’s visit helped remove differences between the two countries, adding that the two sides also discussed special operational steps. However, Tehmina refused to divulge the details of the steps.She said that relations between Pakistan and the United States were passing through ups and downs for the last few months which the two sides were able to review in the backdrop of regional situation.She said that it would not be plausible to jump to conclusion at this stage. She said that the issue of Pakistan’s sovereignty was strongly raised with the US team. She said that security of strategic assets was according to the international standards.She said that Pak-India talks on Siachen would be held on May 30. She said that Pakistan was committed to the fight against terrorism.
