Summary Darul Kafala will be formed for beggars and homeless people
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Tuesday approved draft law against professional beggars. According to law forcing children and women for vagrancy will be illegal.
KPK Assembly session with Speaker Mushtaq Ghani unanimously passed the bill against professional vagrancy.
Provincial Minister for Law tabled the bill according to which forcing women and children to beg will be considered illegal and relevant person can be fined Rs 0.5 million or one year prison time.
Darul Kafala will be formed for beggars and homeless people. Magistrate can send vagrants to Darul Kafala as a punishment. According to act, Education and training for rehabilitation will be offered at Darul Kafala. Police will be allowed to arrest professional vagrants and after satisfaction homeless people can leave Darul Kafala.
Minister for Social Work Hisham Inamullah tabled the bill against workplace harassment which was also passed. Government will appoint provincialombudsman between ages of 45 and 65. In absence of provincial ombudsman government can appoint acting ombudsman.
